My word! Pzkpfw-e's recent post in the Tanks section - http://landships.activeboard.com/t51800496/wrecked-mark-i-female-tank-of-e-battalion-second-battle-of-g/ - unearths a wealth of photos from the "American Colony (Jerusalem). Photo Dept." - loc.gov/pictures item search  The Colony was trusted by both sides, even after America entered the war and the Central Powers in particular relied on its Photlgraphic Department for documentation.  Consequently the collection was managed and survived intact.

The album World War I in Palestine and the Sinai will be of interst to those looking for images of the war in the Middle East.  No tanks there but some guns.  Well, two of them.

Goodness knows what else is in that huge assemblage (though not all is digitised) and much of it resolves to single photos rather than albums.  Some motor vehicles in that album noted, at least.

Thought the location worth noting in any event.  Heh, the forum still doesn't trust me to post links (but I will).
