"Redleg" here again. The toilet is for the first three wartime photos in the entry. They are British and they are howitzers alright, but that's about all, because what they are not is the 9.2 inch howitzer. The first one in the group is of a 15 inch BL (Breech Loading) siege howitzer as is the third weapon in the series; the second photo is of a 12 inch BL Mk. 1 or 2 railroad howitzer (can't tell definitively on this one as the barrel was cut off by the photo, but it is probably the latter weapon as the Mk. 1s barrel was pretty short. Please compare these pics. ladies and gentlemen with the genuine article from the IWM collection in London that is depicted below, a beautiful 9.2 inch BL Mk.1 siege howitzer, which is extremely well preserved and may still be in firing condition. Imagine this thing on the firing line at a machinegun shoot or other such extravaganza that periodically takes place in the gun crazy US of A.

Peter: I don't want it to seem like we are piling on about purely techie issues, but I found out to my chagrin that while I was writing something earlier today and needed to refer to an another part of the site, I lost everything I had written! Needless to say it annoyed me greatly and almost caused me to use the computer for target practice with my vintage 1908/09 S&W .44 Special Hand Ejector 1st Model ("Triplelock") in the street outside (something that no doubt would have caused the cops to at the very least ask me lots of questions I don't know the answers to). Is there any way at all that this annoying trait could be addressed so that it does'nt throw everything out when you try to go to a different part of the site while still writing or if for example you inadvertently fail to title an entry?
