I was wondering if anyone has any decent photos of the admittedly post-war Belgian Cockerill "Canon de 155mm long modèle 1924"? What little I know about this weapon is that it seems to have been a conversion to 155mm of ceded or captured German 13cm (actual caliber was 135mm) Kanone M-1909 field guns (this is suggested by the one lousy illustration I do have as well as by the specs., which except for the caliber and slightly shorter barrel of L/30 instead of L/35, matches pretty closely those of the original German gun). The weapon supposedly entered service in ca. 1927/1928 as a heavy counter battery gun to the tune of some 24 examples and served in the fighting in May 1940 alongside 155mm L17S field guns and some ex-German 15cm K-16. Perhaps the museum in Brussels has one on display and one of you guys photographed it; I know that they do have a beautiful example of a Cockerill 120mm mle. 1931 on display there. Any help at all with this would be appreciated. Wesley
