Some time ago I'm sure someone enquired about a Schneider tank with an area of what looked like 'cross-hatched' camouflage markings. I can't find the post now, despite searching for ages, but I found the attached image in Paul Malmassari's excellent Les chars de la Grande Guerre which shows a Schneider with similar markings.

The first two images in the thread starter are period images of the Schneider with cross-hatched markings. Michel identified the tank later in the thread.
And I have forgotten to say, in this topic, that Schneider n° 61306 (on Bourron destroyed tanks park), was only the second photo put by Dave Scorer.
There is two other photos from this Schneider n° 61306. One near Mery in June 1918 and the other also in Bourron.
This Schneider was not repaired and used as spare like many other Schneider and Saint Chamond.
There is (for instance . . . .) no rear photo of this tank.
On the first photo (from Dave Scorer topic), the Schneider M2 is the n° 61102 from Groupe AS 11 (Grpt n° II) on train in Conty station in June 1918.
"cross-hatched" camo was often used in 1918 on Schneider M2 but, in Laffaux (May 1917), the aspirant Geoffroy had also painted cross-hatched on all is tank (Schneider M1 n° 61188).
It was probably the only was for 1917.
"cross-hatched" was, used to hide tank's observation slots.
