Hello all, Been busy with a Gotha G.III lately so haven't been too active here as much as on the great war in the air forum.
Here is my latest dio, one of the early local panzer attacks by Baden I.
The troops are spare Revells that only took me two days to paint. the entire diorama took 2-3 days and is actually made from tape, newspaper and foam core. I used some cheap filliment, and had my wife make the tracks in the mud behind the tank. the house is made from plasticard wood pieces and cardboard.
I used regular everyday stuff from around the house to spruce it up a bit. adding rocks and twigs from outside, and a brass pipe piece for the broken water main.
The opposing infantry are actually HaT U.S repainted to look like Brits, making one valiant last stand against this steel beast.
The tank itself is the seldom displayed Emhar, that I had. It was an extra I gave to my father-in-law for his collection of interesting vehicles. (secretly because it was a goof up, can you guys tell what the glaring error is?)
The HaT troops only took 2 hours to paint, and I did the barb wire using a tutorial I read on Benno's figures forum.
"General, you have nobly protected your forts. Keep your sword...to have crossed swords with you has been an honor, sir." General der Infantrie, Otto von Emmich
It sure looks you had fun in creating this (and hopefully the Lady enjoyed it as well)! I like the pictures taken without flash best, plenty of atmosphere there. Regards, Pat
Pat: yes I also feel the photos without flash capture better color as well. I especially like pic 13.
TCT: study picture 6 very closely in regards to the A7V (Torwards the left end of the picture)
Let me know when you guys give up trying to find the error.
Greetings, Josh

Yes. you are correct. the tank has been assembled completely backwards I didn't even realize it myself until I had the whole thing glued painted and varnished one day. (imagine the colorful words)
HaT US would be an obvious error, but for the most part (Maybe only I've noticed these, but Hans even uses US in place of British sometimes. Unless I'm seeing things. ) But so is using a subtle olive drab in place of Slate Grey on Germans- dare I say, a sin of WWI modeling. but not as bad as using panzergrey
Greetings, Josh
