Renault FT Actions 1918.

Have been trying to draw up a map showing approximate area of operations by Renault FTs May-November 1918. Based on accounts of villages and other landmarks taken by FT units, this is what I've come up with. (Note the small deployment in Flanders) It includes both French and US actions. Any corrections/improvements welcomed.

That's quite a substantial area. The bit in Flanders is interesting - presumably that was Belgian units, which is new to me as I hadn't known that the Belgians used tanks. Did they have many?

Some French tanks were sent to Flanders Army Group in late September to support the Belgian advance. About 30 FTs and some Saint-Chamonds operated (with French crews) more or less daily from Sept 26th to Oct 20th in the area of Hooglede and Thielt. Then Oct 31st to Nov 2nd there was a plan to force the Germans back over the R. Scheldt. Two battalions of FTs advanced about 25 miles and met little resistance. An operation was scheduled for the 11th, but it was called off. Am trying to find more on this. I'm sure Michel & co have chapter and verse.
