The first pic illustrates a Krupp M1914 7,7cm L/27 BAK mounted on a Daimler M1914 Platform truck.
The second pic is a rarity; at least to me. �The carraige is a 7,7cm Rader BAK mit abschwnkbaren Radern. �Meaning it had articulated wheels that were piovted inward to allow the piece to be turned on radius. ( Only 6 of these guns were bought by the army for trials but never adopted ; though it was an export shelf item for Krupp. ) �Originally, it carried an L/28 barrel with a full length recouperator. �This particular system has been re-armed with what appears to be an FK16 tube. �One battery (4 guns) served in the Ostend/Zeebrugge area of the Flandern coast. � Perhaps the orginal tube wore out and field expediency was required. � A most intriquing photo, Snooper; thanks for submitting .
Pat, � At first glance it does indeed appear to be a short projectile; �but look closer and note the casing protrudes beneath the left arm and is resting against the man's upper thigh. � �
Pictured is an Ehrlardt "Motor Vehicle 14" with a Rheinmetall C14 7,7cm L/27. �Not as numerous as the Daimler version , their performance was identical.
