I have read that the bow MG on some captured Mk IVs was replaced with an A/T rifle.

Does anyone have a drawing or picture of this weapon? (Doing a beutepanzer).

There is a photo of Mauser Tankgewehr mounted in place of bow MG of Mark IV tank on page 161 of excelent book "The German A7V tank..." by M. Hundleby and R. Strasheim. And this photo is unique, at least for me, becuse I have never seen other showing Tankgewehr in Mk IV.

The picture can also be found in Tankograd 1003 "Beute-Tanks; Volume 1", page 64.

Thanks Charlie, it looks a real brute!

Wouldn't fancy firing one of those from the shoulder, but not as bad as the Boys A/T rifle of WWII.

Thanks for the reference Albert, I have the book and have noted the page.

I can most probably make a better job of modelling this han using the Emhar Hotchkiss mg.

Regards,

Tony
