Does anyone know any that describe how it was to fight from inside these machines?
Here is an account by Arthur Snyder who commanded an FT17 in service with the AEF in 1918.

Some years ago I saw a program on TV, where they interviewed this old man who had been an American Renault FT driver in the Great War. He said the sound of the bullets ricocheting off his armor made him feel "invincible".
