The Emhar mgs have been described as abortions, and I am going to scratch build the ones I need.
From initial comparisons, the Emhar, among other things, seem too long.
I found a picture of a Hotchkiss mounted in the side ball mounting (att 1) and scaled off the length from the photo, using the 7,5" diameter of the ball as the reference point. This dimension was taken off original drawings from Bovington and I doubt whether there would have been different sizes of the ball mount (??)
Once I had done that, I found a picture of the Hotchkiss (att 2) and applied the scaled dimensions to it in 1/35 (att 3)
According the the first photo, only 364 mm (14") of the barrel sticks out proud of the ball mount - is this dimension correct?
Will the amount of barrel sticking out from the main sponson mountings on the female tank be the same?
