I have built both the male and female tanks and added the odd bit of extra detailing.

I opened up the top hatch and the side door on the sponson.

The plastic scaled up would have been rather thick armour plate.

I also added some home made grousers to the tracks.

Great stuff, I have yet to tackle my 1:35 EMHAR MkIV. One observation though, you have modelled the whole of the 'cheese wedge' opening, should it not just be the roof flap?

I don't know, couldn't tell from pictures or plans?
I think you are right.
mmm ... I will have to look at how to rectify that.
Thank you.

The correct thing would be to post a suitable photo to assist you. Thus far I have failed, my stock of photos on my iPad are mostly associated with the Mk1. I shall look on my PC tomorrow. However, I expect other members of this esteemed web site will oblige.

I am still pretty new to this, although I've had a fascination with Great War tanks for as long as I remember, it is only recently that I discovered - through this site - that the marks went from 1 to 5* !! So my knowledge is subsumed from that of others on this wonderful site.

Hello,

I think I can help with the top hatch issue. Check out:

http://www.landships.info/landships/tank_articles.html#

then go to  / British / Surviving Mark IV / HMLS Excellent / image number 36

You can see the lid of the top hatch opened on that one.

Greetings

Martin
