I have a couple of resin model figures I want to remove the paint from, having already been overbrushed a couple of times I do not want to obscure the details, any ideas how to remove the paint, I have seen Dettol suggested on Youtube, but that is for plastics
I use brand spiritus "methylated alcohol" we use (here in the Netherlands ) it to clean windows with it...... and its very cheap, it dissolves any acrylic paint and wont harm your resin or plastic models/figures
Or go to your Drugstore and get some Rubbing alcohol...it will work to, get the highest %proof you can get .
I have cleaned complete 1/35 tanks with it
just let it soak for a while, and use a big brush to get in all the nooks and crannies.
PS watch out with fire !!!

Dip them in acetone for a couple of minutes - be careful not to leave them in, the acetone will eventually dissolve the resin! You may have to dip them more than once but it's better to dip for a couple of minutes, see how the paint's doing and if necessary dip again, rather than leave them in for one session of several or many minutes.
Simple Green, Dettol or brake fluid will do the job, without harming the resin.
What type of paint is it? The above work on acrylics, but I don't know/doubt they work on enamels.
Don't use Acetone, it will dissolve resin.
Isopropyl alcohol is another one used with success.
I've used Dettol on plastic figures to great success - don't know about resin but as for its paint removal qualities I can vouch for those (though you don't shift the smell easily!)
