Looking for picture sources
Permalink

Hello,

I am looking for a reference picture which can be used for my next diorama, hopefully using a new Takom or Tamiya Mark IV when they are released.

Although there is plenty of artwork of male Mark IV tanks with the white and red stripes at the front ends of the horns, I am unable to find a nice wartime photograph of such a tank. I have the New Vanguard and the Hayne's workshop manual, and looked through Google several times. The one in the Osprey booklet on page 44 is the only one I found, but it features an unusual camouflage which I try to avoid.

Can someone here point me towards a decent picture of a Mark IV tank which

- shows an intact tank with known markings

- in British service

- either at rest or in combat

in a nice scene? I am not limited to tanks with the white-and-red stripes, although it would add a lot of interest.

My goal would be a replication of the scene as a diorama as I did with the Fahrpanzer.

Of course, I would post a build thread if I find a nice photo.

Any help is appreciated!

Best regards,

Thorsten
