New WW1 1914/15 French Army – first of our new range

Tom and I have been busy building these up over many weeks. The range features the French army in the “pantaloon Rouge” uniform, so classic of the early war years. (apologies for the angles on some of these pictures

The basic French Infantry demi- squad was 14 men strong, including the “chef du Section”. Therefore I have launched these in pack of 14 men in various attacking/advancing and shorting poses. These come in the kepi and great coats worn by the infantry of this period. Separate main packs are available should you wish to field your troops wearing their main packs. Pictures exist of troops both with and without their packs.

Support weapon releases include the Section of HMG’s and gunners. 9 man packs with 2 St Etienne HMG’s. These are also available being carried into action along with the section mule loaded with ammunition box’s.

We have also released 3 types of French cavalry. These are sold in packs of 3 each having slight variants in the main poses offered.. The Cuirassiers on their big horses, with helmet and Cuirass covers and rifles in holsters on the horse.

Dragons in two poses, first trotting horses, lances carried and  riding charging horses with lances at the tilt, helmet covers and rifles in holsters on the horses.

The Chasseurs de Africa are also modelled, with rifle slung and sword in hand.

Other items to follow in this range include the “Envoys au Regiment and company assets such as cyclists, sergeants, medic’s. Also a cycle born MG team and stretchers bears are coming soon.
