We've discussed the dummy A7V in a British film a few times. It looked as if it was from a film of 1942 called "Victory". This seemed to be confirmation:
From the people who brought you "The Somme", 1927. Acc to this site, the film exists and has been seen and reviewed. I've messaged them to see if they can confirm. The plot summary, from the BFI says, "The armistice saves a girl and a pilot from death, but not a Canadian agent." That's all.

Quite a bit - I have contemporary documentation. However I've run into a completely unexpected snag. Don't want to say what it is as I could be completely wrong and you know what the internet is like - I need to do some more digging asap to sort it as I am writing up a note to send to the local historical journal.
