This Schneider M1 (n° 61212) is in standard factory camouflage.
The Schneider n° 61212 was not known as tank used in French tank unit.
Schneider M1 n° 61211 and 61213 was used by Groupe AS 4 in Juvincourt.
The other Schneider M1, also sent in March 1917, is perhaps one of these numbers (61173 , 61190 or 61197)
If italian tank teams were trained in Marly-le-Roi (Fort du Trou d'Enfer), the two Schneider given to Italy was taken
in Cercottes AS training Camp by Cne Guiffrida ans his four men team.
The two tank arrived in Italy in M1 standard and all pieces for M2 standard was sent later by Schneider.
Did you known other photos from these two Schneider in Italy, and other informations on their history and the end of them ?
