There are a couple of old thread on DeMole but I found this 1970 article on him in the Australian Army Journal I thought I'd share

No, but seriously though, it's maddening how many accounts say that Wells's Ironclads were on tracks, as the author has done here. I've even read a couple where the author quotes Wells's very detailed description of the Pedrail Wheels and then immediately says they're tracks. How do they manage to do that?
