ww1 era plating?

Found this picture on Facebook. Captioned as WW1 era plating, to help tanks get over muddy ground.

I have a few doubts about this.

Bonjour,

Very good doubts !

On left, it was some american "Pierced Steel Plank" (PSP) for military airfield from the second world war.

On right, somme old crash barriers coming from a road . . . . . .

The seconde one, looks like WW1 french "Métro" iron steel for military bunkers in front line, but they was not rusty

and probably in galvanized iron.
