Original landships Content Archived?

Greetings, I am trying to find the post author & pictures that I can only find on Web.archive.org where an Individual was attempting to scratch build a Holt Gas-Electric Tank prototype. Can anyone offer assistance in finding the author or the content?

The author is Peter Kempf, the founder of the Landships website (Landships I) and this forum. Unfortunately we haven't heard from him in a long time, leading some to speculate he's dead.

The webmaster of Landships II (CharlieC) has an image of Landships I, so it's possible he has the photos you seek.

Sorry - the full sized images are also missing from my snapshot of the landships site.

I can only think you may be able to scale the small images up in stages in Gimp or similar (any

graphics program with a decent scaling algorithm).

From what I can see the contents changes fairly frequently for that page, so this particular piece was not on the original site very long and only seems to have been achieved a couple of times, the actual images(only one survives) are roughly twice the size of the thumbnails, likely in order to save bandwidth, so probably aren't go to give that much infocry
