Hi,

I'm back after long time with my last work on Landship subject: the well known MKI Supply "DODO". It's an easy conversion based on the nice kit of MKI Male from Takom.

Decals will come from the New Penguin 35005 decal set.

The new cab is theat I 3D printed some months ago but the MR Modelbau resin cab is far better and most of all a lot cheaper then mine.

The model will have the right sponson door open with some crates inside. Takom's door is well depincted but width isn't correct if you will open it so I rebuilt it with styrene sheet and some resin copy of Tamiya parts.

As well dicussed on this forum how the rear bin closed is unknow so I gave my personal interpretation modelling it as a car bonnet.

Muffler comes from MR Modellbau MKI Female set

Fitting sponsons needs some styrene rod to close a side gap between hull and sponson wall.

As usual find a cutting template at

Bye

Will be following this one intently. As per the threads you linked, I have been interested in the Mk.I Supply for quite a while.

So many details of this vehicle are still open to interpretation that it will be fascinating to follow your build choices and study the end result.

I suspect that no two model-makers building 'Dodo', or similar, would reach exactly the same conclusion as to the alterations & additional structures. This is perhaps a good thing because it really gets people exploring the logic of conversions / field modifications and can lead to greater understanding by all.
