I well know this "Fort Benning's photos, and tried, some month ago, to contact some people, able to speak about three french photos, new and unknown for me.
The webmaster from SmugMug was not able to say me, who is the owner of these three photos and who is the goog contact.
I would like at best quality of them for a very good recognition.
Schneider M2 (photo 311/374) - Tank number and place unknown
Schneider M2 (photo 316/374) - Tank number and place unknown
Saint Chamond M2 (photo 319/374) - Tank number unknown - With the landscape : St Chamond destroyed at Saint Maur (11 June 1918) during Méry's Battle.
This is indeed an interesting Mark IV, in at least two respects. Firstly, this tank has been fitted with the winch equipment designed for Operation Hush. Secondly, it is a Male fitted with Female sponsons. The picture itself is well known.
(Note: no vents in this position on a Mark IV).
