Good day all, I am Owen Mulrooney, 73 year old male from Wilderness, Western Cape, South Africa. I recently suddenly became interested in WW1Â armoured cars.
I recently built a 1905 Fowler b Armoured tractor as used in the SA Boer War. I think this got the idea going and am now busy with the Holt Steam Wheel Tank.Â
Thanks for allowing me into the group, I know nothing of the subject at all but am sure I will learn a great deal from the members who no doubt have aÂ
considerable knowledge of the subject. My main interest is Steam Loco's, vintage tractors and trams. I have built a few models of these. I started building in cardÂ
about 18 months ago so am not very good at it but do try. I also draw and paint the subjects above but now will try something to incorporate an armoured car
in a war setting. Hope to post something of interest soon.

You have a master modeller in your area called Colin Burgess - look him up, he's always keen to meet modellers and is a wonderful source of information for other modellers.
Are you building the trailers togo with the Fowler?

Good day Tonys and Paul, sorry for not replying, I have not been on the site for a while (no excuses) Tonys, yes I do know Colin Burgess and see him at the Scale Model Builders meeting once a month and at the artists day also once a month. I have attempted 2 Armored Cars but both were unsuccessful and found there way into the scrap bin but I am sure I will attempt another soon, perhaps with more success.

Sorry Tonys I did not read your post completely, no I have not done the trailers, do not have templates but they would go nicely with the Fowler.
I will try and post a pic of the Fowler.
