The FH 16 and FK 16 production was dispersed over many manufacturers although the original design was by Rheinmetal - some

websites insist these were a Krupp design but this is incorrect. There was a Krupp design similar to the FK 16 which was made in

small numbers - there's a survivor in one of the eastern European museums (Bucharest?).

I'm fairly sure MAN is Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg AG, Augsburg (M.A.N.) - probably more well known as

a vehicle manufacturer but I have seen an FK 16 barrel with MAN as the gun assembler. The upper right part of the breech ring

has two numbers and manufacturer codes corresponding to which company forged the barrel and who did the machining.

(I can't remember which is which). B.V is Bochumer Verein not sure which manufacturer GWW corresponds to.

These had different banding on the barrel and no axel tree seats. The breech systems also seem to differ from the Rhinemetal designed 10,5cm lFH 16.

I have a 10,5cm lFH 16 made by a fairly odd manufacturer. It is by G.M.A. and think this could be the manufacturing firm Görlitzer Maschinenbauanstalt und Eisengießerei or possibly Grusonwerk in Magdeburg.
