There are a lot of WW1 photo's in the National Archives, many being of tanks.

These are of good quality and big, really big. Below are links to just a few that I have found,

some are well known.

Hi Geoff, thanks for the links to the photographs. I don't suppose you came across any photographs of F12 (Friar Tuck - 2321) at or near Bossaert / Setques Farms on or around the 31st July 1917, 3rd Ypres, supporting the 1/10 Liverpool Scottish of 164 BDE, the 55th Division. or indeed any photographs of D24 or D32.

I have found another source of photo's: 

The Canadian Archives; Credit: Canada. Dept. of National Defence/Library and Archives Canada/ 

These photo's are not as large as the previous postings above but they are of good quality and 

may be of interest.

 

The first batch is from Courcelette.

To put the photo's and tanks into context there is the original battle plan and a photo of the battlefield looking towards Courcelette.

Unidentified tank. Unfortunately there is no information about this photo.

My guess is that the tank broke down near the start line for the battle. If that is correct then this is an unique photo.
