Perhaps this is a well-known photo, so I apologize in advance.

The photo shows members of the Women's Reserve Camouflage Corps (a sub-group of the American organization, National League of Women's Services) applying camouflage paint to a vehicle in a predetermined pattern.  Photo was taken in New York City, 1918.

Since this object isn't a tank it doesn't prove anything in relation to tanks.

Maybe a vehicle made for a movie? I would like to see the inside: how do you handle those two guns that are so close to each other?

Well, the first thought has to be that it's for parade/dummy/recruiting purposes. Not quite, but close. A bit of a google of "Women's Reserve Camouflage Corps," and we get, to my surprise, a Wikipedia article and this:

Quite a bit of other interesting stuff on this site.
