Early italian tanks PDF
Permalink Closed

Hi
I have scanned a booklet about the first italian tanks: Fiat 2000, Fiat 3000 and Carden Loyd. It was part of a series printed in the seventies by Bizzarri editore, text is in italian but there many drawings and photos.

Splendid, Cadorna!

Although, Eugene, I think the open top Fiat 2000 is simply the uncomplete prototype, out for a spin. The caption translated reads:

The hull partially completed of the first prototype of Fiat 2000 in the course of the tests carried out in the June of 1917.

BTW Eugene, I think you'll love the Early Armoured Cars download at the bottom of the page!

They are very big files, up to 10Mb, so maybe your PC can't cope with downloading them? Maybe doing 'save target' will work?

I've had no problem with larger files. These load ok its when I try to navigate, it sometimes works and sometimes everything just freezes up. I also get a lot of network errors. I think that there may be some incompatibility with AOL. I've saved a couple and I'll try viewing them throgh something else.

Weird... If you're still having problems, how about if I email them to you? Might that work?

Tim
I haven't any book about italian artillery, I have one about trench mortars, from the early devices to the Stokes, but being brand-new and paid 24€ I'm not keen to cut it to pieces to scan

I bombardieri del Re - Storia e tecnologia del Corpo dei Bombardieri della Grande Guerra

There are two excellent books about italian artillery in the great war:

"L'artiglieria italiana nella grande guerra"
A.Curami, A.Massignani
Gino Rossato publisher
ISBN 88-8130-065-6

and

"Con gli Autocannoni sui fronti della grande guerra"
Andrea di Valmarana
Gino Rossato publisher
ISBN 88-8130-089-3

You can order them from the publishers's site
www.edizionirossato.it or from www.tuttostoria.it

Hello Cadorna

Yes I understand that, I have the "L'artiglieria italiana nella grande guerra" book, and it was quite expensive. But it was well worth it.

Any way thanks a million for what you have provided.

All the Best

Today I've been to the bookshop where I bought it, there are still 21 dust-covered copies in a corner, they cost 5 euro.
The booksellers says he sells by mail too, with payment in advance.
So if you like and hardcopy write to him for shipping cost and payment details, email is libri@libreriaromagnosi.com

The full title is:
"CARRI ARMATI ITALIANI IN SERVIZIO TRA LE DUE GUERRE - VOL. 1 - EDIZIONI BIZZARRI"

Don't forget "volume 1", because there are also 14 copies of volume 2 that covers later tanks of the thirties.
