I am looking for info on the main types of cars and trucks used by the German military in WW I. Production figures would also be of help. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
Can't speak for passenger cars, but some rough figures for lorries are available.
1.029 existing lorries and 294 trailers were bought by the military transport depots (IKD); 3.478 existing lorries and 825 trailers were bought by the (deputy) army corps. Most of these puchases happened in 1914 and early 1915. The number of lorries captured in Belgium and France and reused is not known.
