I enclose a photo of the Marienwagen II. The body is supposed to have been taken from an Ehrhardt armoured car but its simple flat sides do not match either the Ehrhardt 15 or the 17. Any one have an answer?
Here is a little information on the Marienwagen II.
The Marienwagen II consisted of the exact chassis as the Marienwagen I (Daimler 4 ton LKW) of course with the exception of being fully armored with 9 mm of armored steel.
As you stated some sources say the armor was taken from a Ehrhardt 15 or 17 Armored Car. This is not exactly true, the design came from these Armored Cars, but they were not exact copies. It was relatively a new design.
Any way a few of the Armored Marienwagens II were used on the Eastern Front. They were found to be very reliable per say the armored protection, however they were found very slow and cumbersome as well as being a major burden on the engine and rear transmission pulling the tracks.
At least one Marienwagen II survived the Eastern Front, and was used in 1919 in Berlin during the German Uprising. Being used by the Loyal Troops to the German Government.
The Daimler chassis was found incapable of carrying the heavy armor. The remaining chassis were converted into Anti-Aircraft and Antitank gun platforms. Some were also converted into half-track personnel and supply carriers ( Daimler Marienfielde ALZ 13)
I believe REVIRESCO has a model of on in 1/72 scale.
A fully tracked Marienwagen III (Bremer-Wagen III) was designed, but never actually built. It was to have a fully opeerational and steerable front end and rear track system. The design was to have come from a captured French Latil TAR 4x4 fitted with the Delahaye type S1 track system, which was captured on the VERDUN sector in 1917.
