Just noticed this in the Whippet article on the dreaded Wikipedia:
"(Whippets took part in) the British army's postwar actions, notably in Ireland, north Russia and Manchuria."
I'm not at all convinced that Manchuria should be in this list. I can't find any independent source. Can anyone confirm?

I'm not at all convinced North Russia should be in the list, at least not if you equate "Whippet" with Medium A. There were Medium B in North Russia, and Medium A in South Russia. The Manchuria reference might be to the US, who I think sent 6 ton tanks there?
That's the way it looks. And, according to Irish history websites, the Whippets took part in some parades and shows of strength but don't seem to have fired on anyone or anything. It's rather flattering to call it "action."
I think the best way to flush them out is to delete the references and see if anyone comes back with sources. Not Wikipedia protocol, but . . . well, who cares?

That did cross my mind. Tsientin, I think. I can't find the source offerd for the claim, Jackson, Robert (2007). Tanks and Armored Fighting Vehicles. Parragon Publishing. ISBN 978-1-4054-8664-4. p 22., so I'll proceed with Plan A.
