Belgian troops had the Chauchat and also the "portable" Hotchkiss (as used in British Tanks). Can't find a reference to the Lewis. Khaki uniforms supplied by Britain from early 1915, including cap. Adrian helmet issued from late 1915, painted khaki with lion-mask on front.
It seems that the Belgian Armoured Car Division was sent to Russia in December 1915, fought all over Russia and in March 1918 was in China. Not sure how that happened . . .
The Division returned to Belgium and was disbanded on July 15th, 1918.
