Hi there. I'm planning to build a Mark II Male tank based on the Takom's Mark I kit. This should be easy as all what needs to be done is the following:
- remove the tail and hydraulics mechanism
- use the Mark IV top with newer hatch (inside the kit)
- use the Mark IV cabin with Vickers machine gun mounting (inside the kit)
- change the track tensioning mechanism from round to square
- add a stowage box at the back (see attached image)
Now, some questions:
1) How these were painted during the Battle of Arras? From what I can see there was a C company?
2) Does anyone have a better image of that stowage box? It's unclear how these were fixed to the hull.
3) See attached image of some decal sets. Apart from Lusitania (Mark II Male) any other could be used?

Though seen in a damaged state in this still from a film clip of 781 (C41 - Iron Duke), this is probably the best photo that I have seen for demonstrating the construction of the rear storage box. It appears to be fabricated from wood planks and is girded with lengths of metal strapping which attach it to the tank. The ends of the metal straps are likely drilled through so as to use pre-existing bolt holes on rear edge of the roof plate and rear hull plate for attachment.
