Just noticed this.

David Willey, curator of the Tank Museum, Bovington, shows the interior of what some claim to be the first tank, Little Willie (no relation) and discusses it in this 25 minute video.

Lots of explanation of the origins and development of the tank, leading up to Mother.

Far be it from me, but I think I might have written this bit rather differently. I think it's a bit jumbled. And Ernest Swinton gets what I always think is too much credit for his part.

Also new info on what happened to Little Willie after it was abandoned in favour of Mother. Some film I hadn't seen of Medium Mark C trials at Lincoln with Willie in the background. Plus a fact that might surprise you . . .

And it's worth having a read of the comments section for views on how and when the damage to the cab front occurred.
