I wonder if the "Mechanic" even know what he is doing? I think they just wanted the fluids topped off. This is a wonderful job and I really like the story being told, thanks for sharing.
The Germans certainly captured two Minervas in 1914. I know that in some literature the number can be found as three or four (from what I remember in Kaufhold-Roll's book "Die deutschen Radpanzer im Ersten Weltkrieg"), but this is not supported by any evidence in terms of documents or photos.
