WW1 daimler tank engine carburettor photo/drawings
Permalink

Hello

As the title suggests can anybody point me in the direction of a photo or drawing on one of these please? I believe it was some sort of Zenith but could be wrong.

Actually some sort of guide as to any carb used would be useful. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for your topic. Page 124 of "Sturmpanzerwagen A7V: Vom Urpanzer zum Leopard 2" in a description of the engine states: "..die Vergaser (Steigstromvergaser, Fabrikat "Pallas").." I believe a Steigstromvergaser is an "Updraft Carburettor".

Also, "Der deutsche Panzerbau I'm Ersten Weltkreig" in a technical description of the A7V on page 141 states "Vergaser: Pallas-Vergaser, Drehzahlbegrenzer." I believe the latter is a "Rev Limiter".

I'm not aware of any illustrations, but Pallas seems to be confirmed as the manufacturer.

Which tank are you referring to? The MK IV?

I'm guessing it's the A7V's engines.

I dont know. It could be either. The MK IV had Foster Daimler engines while the A7V had Daimler Benz engines. Nothing in common apart from the name Daimler.
