I was just looking over "Google Books" and came across this interesting item online: Tanks 1914-1918
It's a book written in 1919 by Sir Albert Stern about the development and use of Britain's first tanks. The entire text of the book is availible online but it appears that Google did not scan the photos! There are some arrangement drawings in the appendicies, however. - Has anyone on the forum seen the photos in this book?
Yes, they have a couple of different editions in the library at King's. There aren't any photos that haven't appeared elsewhere, so sadly there's nothing to get excited about on that score. Interestingly, they also have a copy with annotations made by Walter Wilson in 1920.

If you click the link in my first post you should either see the first page of the book with some arrow buttons to "turn" the pages or you'll see a screen asking you to sign in. You may need to set up a free account with Google. If you get the sign in page, you should also see a link to set up the free account. (Google generally recognizes me/my computer automatically now.)
BTW - I don't know if this is the problem but I've heard that sometimes a webpage may be blocked out in certain countries. As I understand it, some folks in those countries change their user nationality settings to work around this. I don't know how, or the legality of this, but I'm sure the procedures are online somewhere...

Unfortunately all I get is a page telling me where I can buy hard copies of the book.
