Some more photos from the AWM. Not only do these shots show various pieces but the changing attitude to preservation. The AWM (as I'm sure most museums did) used to repaint their items. A lot more of the exhibits are now being left in their original paint finish, no matter how good or bad it is.
Again,.. really great pics! The 18Pdr limber shots are especially nice. (You will note the 18Pdr is the latter Mk.II.) The paint work on the l.FH 16 is nice too, however, the 9.2 Inch Howitzer steals the show! And I see a K16 peaking out behind it too....
PS. The FK16, is it your view that the paint-job is the original one? Could very well be. I have read about light blue being used, but this is the first specimen I've seen in that colour!

It is possible but I think it may have been repainted. The paint job looks a little too bright for it's age, although the condition of the paint seems to indicate that it is fairly old. The best way to find out would be to email the AWM. They were very helpful when I was asking about the Mk IV and letting them know about incorrect photo captions.
