Bovington has supplied me with drawings of the semaphore, but no scale - does anyone have any dimensions for me to scratchbuild it as the Interus kit doesn't have it? Tony
I've got the Emhar kit (although I'm a small scale builder) which does include the semaphore. The sizes are as follows: The round pole on which the actual semaphores are attached is 35 mm length and 2 mm thick, with points at the top on which the semaphores are attached. The semaphores consist of a circular part of 6 mm diameter, attached to a rectangular strip (other end rounded) of 14 mm length and 2.5 mm width. Thickness of the whole thing is 0.5 mm. I hope this works for you. Maybe you can do me a favor and send me a scan of the decal sheet of the Interus kit? I'd like to see what versions they offer.
I'll scan the decal sheet in, but most of the writing is white - on white backing! I'll scan in the pages from the instruction sheets. For general information, the following versions are shown: 1) B Bn - In the vicinity of the village of Hammel, France, March 4, 1918; 2) Armed Forces of the South of Russia, Donets Basin, Ukraine, Summer, 1919; 3) Third Tank Troop, First Tank Sqdn, Gen Vrangel'sRussian Army - Kakhova beachhead, Ukraine, October, 1920; 4) Red Army, Caucasian Front, Russia, 1920; 5) Armoured forces of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army of the USSR. Combat vehicle and autorepair shop, Moscow, 1924; 6) The area of Naro-Fominsk, Russia, 1926; 7) Combat vehicle from a military display crew of the armoured forces of the Workers' etc Red Square, Nov 7, 1929.
Version 5 has a cammo paint scheme given, the others are of one colour only. Tony
Michel, I sent you an email through the system, saying that I couldn't attach all the scans to an email through the website and that could you please send me you email address so that I can send directly. I'm not sure if uploading the stuff on to the website would be all that wonderful or wanted. Regards, Tony (sheffield@telkomsa.net)
