The LKIII?
Permalink Closed

In The Fighting Tanks Since 1916 this small illustration is tucked away on a page about German Tanks. It's described as the "power train of LKIII".

The text says, "A new design, the LKIII, which followed later, contemplated placing the engine in the rear part to unite more closely the power unit and running gear, thereby leaving the front for the personnel." Armament was to be a 57mm gun or a TUF machine gun in a rotating turret.

Anyone seen anything else on this design?

Hello James

I have a drawing I made awhile back, from an old photo drawing of the LKIII, I will look it up and post it tonight.

All the Best

That's fantastic. Like an LKII jumbled up. Brilliant.

I thank you.
