Far from "mainstream" but a downloadable copy of the Tank Corps Roll of Honour - World War 1 is to be found at http://www.australian-armour.com/downloads.html and there's other stuff there hence the general link. The roll itself within that page is http://www.australian-armour.com/Tank Corps Roll of Honour WW1.pdf. This is a 1.58 Mb PDF and starts downloading when you load the link (so don't be doing it if you're very close to your download quota).
It is split into Officers and Other Ranks. Death was not the egalitarian reaper it seems. The roll doesn't contain the unit detail, nor even the date of death but it does include the "regimental number", name, initials (sometimes given name) and the (original) place of enlistment - many would have transferred in from other units. Anyone knowing the location in Ireland of a place called Bellywhiskers might do the rest of us all a favour by sharing that unlikely piece of information (would I lie to you cobbers? - see the entry for Pte J.P. Simpson). The Anglicised version of something like "Baile Uisce" perhaps? I'm sure it would be useful in a quiz night sometime.
Also included (at the end) are tables of the awards made to members of the Corps - hard to make out.
Probably the last place you might look for Tank Corps detail on account of there were no Australian tanks but there were Australians in the Corps.
