0 Total threats on this site: 37Those threats are identified as multiple instances of Trojan.Malscript!html. I have not checked the other links he has posted in his single post but there is no need really - all are equally suspect.
Thanks also for the recent swift demise of "jamec9869", a notorious Vietnamese comment spammer and just one of a whole raft of pseudonyms using IP address 118.70.117.12. Was that you Mark, or does the board have some inbuilt protection these days? Fine work, whatever.
Good work indeed - presumably that was the Russian version of that pest (Indian and German versions seen as well). Reminds me of when little Tommy was caught by the priest squishing those *#!!@ ants. ("Ah but they're useless, Father." "Now, now, Tommy, God has a purpose for all things!" "Is that so, Father? Well what about ...?") Add spammers as a fourth class of useless things, right after those *#!!@ ants.
Some people may have noticed a few "missing" posts from non-existent users. No problem with the forum; just a few spammers that thought they'd like to try their luck.
A quick note to any potential spammers. This forum is being watched and you will be . Have a nice day.
Seems to me those "missing posts" showing in the "new posts" search will probably evaporate next time the host runs database management tasks - unless there has been a subsequent legitimate post to replace it anyway.
handyqiao11's topics have gone the way of all other spam in these forums (potential buyers of counterfeit Gucci and other "woulderful" prestige items may be distraught).
And MyJuliet joins the growing list of vile feculencies banned. Feculencies? Yes, yes, it really is a word, stupid lexicon - else where do feculae plurally aggregate? Well, maybe "plurally" is not a word, but you know what I mean. Like severally but perhaps more.
Perhaps I am too unkind, MyJuliet was merely wanting to create backlinks here and elsewhere to an on-line marketing site with (presumably) products too lame to market otherwise, and owners too greedy to give a feck. "tera2u" should (real) members wish to avoid it.
What is it about this forum that attracts fools trying to flog cheap knock-off clothing? I can't tell you and neither can qingfen, the latest fool to try such tactics.

Ah, but we are not alone - "About 36,900 results" it says on googling the esteemed (supposedly US) site that Ms qingfen was presumably touting (I didn't actually see the post - and that gender is unlikely, women generally have better things to do than to spam, if not then I am available for consultation). Anyway, that is a conservative estimate of how many links "she" and her Chinese ilk have succeeded in seeding in the interwebz that are not yet weeded out to emulate your own splendid example.
According to Norton Safe Webb, they are "pinged" for "Ecommerce Safety Threats", namely "Sale of Counterfeit Goods" with a single complaint of such made by "Ugg Australia". There are several delicious ironies in that - with which I shall not bore the forum (any that are curious could consult the Wikipedia article on "Ugg Boots").
Anyway, well done again Mark - only sorry I didn't get to it before you to save you the effort. A bit like "Whack a mole" but I never tire of it.

Farewell repsky912, your appreciation of this site expressed in your willingness (nay, eagerness) to share fake Prada with us for a moderate outlay courtesy of your Chinese internet connections. Ummm ... no thanks.
And goodbye to lodream555 who saw fit to post in this topic - I don't think members here have any use for the handy links to a counterfeit goods outlet but we're honoured that we're amongst the first targets you've spammed.
More counterfeit Gucci handbags offered by "jason chen" from the PRC posting as joinassit, banished now to the outer dark, worthless post deleted. sitonit, joinasit.
Comment spammer shenglu from an IP address in the PRC stopped, his three posts with a signature promoting LED flashlights removed (one of them was almost on topic but - thin edge of the wedge and all that). Change from handbags, I suppose.
concer the cancer kicked out of touch, four worthless spam comments deleted. Versatile chap, uses IP addresses from Taiwan, the PRC and the USA, and aliases ppaker, ppakers and QQQQQ. Just the one e-mail registration address though - I would post it in the hope webspiders might scrape it from these pages and spam HIM - but, alas, it's a gmail address and gmail is rather good at keeping spam out of client mailboxes.

Thanks to whoever reported the four consecutive spam comments by Papillon of a year ago in topic http://landships.activeboard.com/t16225320/ford-model-t-based-armoured-cars-in-russia. Those have now been deleted and that "member" binned (or his IP address banned which is as much as I can do). I don't receive notifications of those "report spam" actions but I can they are flagged for action next time I look at the posts in the topic. There were also pending posts of similar antiquity by an anonymous poster and another member in that topic which have now been approved and should be visible to all.
For the record - cleaned out four comment spammers 26-27 Novermber from the guestbook (innocuous but totally worthless posts, replicated ad nauseum in countless posts elsewhere throughout the internet), would have been invisible to most, marked "PENDING COMMENT", probably just the one person using different names and proxies:
Incidentally, I cannot see Memo's pictures in that topic. They appear to be hosted at http://www.prikachi.com/images/ but that server hates me. Ah well ...
More, apparently posted around the same time as above.
Frankie 81.88.255.51 Otebaeva 193.107.226.203 Manav 190.78.57.41 Andrew 216.31.225.230 Rama 209.118.181.20
Curious ... almost all of these recent ones could be interpreted as fragments of conversations conducted elsewhere, about dating (social) and the like. Marked "SPAM COMMENT" and unapproved for general display they do not appear in the "Recent Posts" and are devilish hard to find with the limited facilities I have, mostly but not always tacked on to existing topics, these "members" do not show on our member list or in recent, named, visitors. Sometimes they just "pop up" with posting dates apparently before the last time I last checked and cleared that topic. Maybe they would similarly "evaporate" if left alone. It is like either activeboard has got some "leakage" between user forums or someone has found a way to piggyback phantom forums into other peoples forums (perhaps distributed across multiple locations judging by the fragmentary nature of this stuff - yes that is theoretically possible but I would not have thought the quality would be terribly useable - most "bulletin-board" software seems to struggle a little just keeping its regular content in order).
Anyway, if either conjecture is right that would probably explain why our useage (external referrals/visits) has skyrocketed in recent times so that it would seemingly require several members to re-mortgage their houses to buy our way back above the "no advertising" limit for this forum. Way above my "pay grade" I'm afraid.
A quick check of several of those "last posts" shows they are gone, or at least they are not visible to me and his profile shows "Messages Posted 0". I didn't do that (maybe PDA? or maybe supermoderator Mark Hanson). I don't think I can delete a member, certainly not directly.
I stumbled across a post (not the most recent in the topic) "Pending Approval" by one "replica watches" yesterday with possibly the same date range (it was late 2010 certainly) and simply banned the IP address and deleted the post - but the profile helpfully showed a "Chinese" name in the name field, possibly the same wangtianyi (I couldn't swear to it but do recall it was similarly written all in lower-case). That post promoted replica handbags, despite the posting name of replica watches - the "loyal capitalists" are alive and well and as entrepreneurial as ever in the PRC, bless their little white cotton socks.
Anyway, if the posts are not visible they are (hopefully) not doing their job of advertising (backlinking) the moody "warez" for which the perpetrator was paid to pollute our forum.
Importantly then, from our point of view, it is probably your searches that enabled Google to index for searching the pages you saw and allowed these to be checked. THANKS.
1Both the oxygen he consumes and the space he occupies to displace the life-giving gas though the latter is less important since it is mere displacement. An unstressed, typically obese, male spammer (females have better things to do) might consume through respiration up to 67 litres per hour of oxygen molecules in the air at a partial pressure of about 20% which is to say roughly 0.6 times Avagadro's number at standard temerature and pressure (a little chilly to be sure but they deserve no better) and that is about 3.6*1023 molecules and that's just in an hour! 3.6*1023 "written out" is 360,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 which is an awful lot and common humanity (including you and me) has every right to be incensed when 1 molecule is too many. I would begrudge him one molecule a YEAR, though perhaps I am a trifle harsh.

I've just been looking through the Tanks category trying to see if I can find a thread with pics of the mid-20s French prototypes that led to the Char B1 in the 30s, and noticed that pages 7 and 8 have numerous (about 17 between them) last-entry names given as the same chap, on the same date (sep 15 2010), mostly in consecutive threads, including one which is supposed to have had no replies (to a topic this guy didn't start!). I haven't looked, but I suspect this could be a spammer; if any of the moderators want to take a look, the name is 'wangtianyi'.
