Hello long time looker first time posting here. I am amazed at all the hard work that i have seen here and along with the great advice. Myself I've been working on this mind numbing hobby for about 10-15 years if you want you can look at some of my stuff at (http://www.freewebs.com/microdioramas/) but you gotta remember it is at 1/285 scale.
As for what finally got me to write here, I have sent in a fax order to Matador Models and as they are an ocean away from me, the only way to see if they have done anything with my order is to look at my credit card statement. As i've stated it is not very easy for me to contact them. Are they a small operation or a LARGE operation, I would like to be able to get in contact with them va. e-mail. Does any one have one handy by chance, or is there a distributer in the U.S. that they use and would be better for me.
Just would like to say again how much I have enjoyed looking at every ones projects and I look forward to posting some of my work in the near future. Dave
I have purchased from Matador Models many times and never had any major problems. I did once send them a fax but I got no response; it didn't matter too much because it just meant I had to wait a little longer for my kits, which I ordered by snail mail.
As far as I can tell, Matador are one of the larger 'small' companies. There is no email address for them; at least not one they have made public. The best way to contact them, in my opinion, is by snail mail and I have never had any problems with that method.
I doubt there are stockists in the USA, but I am constantly surprised and frequently wrong! But you might like to try Scalelink. Their online catalogue is incredibly confusing and overly complex, but they do ship worldwide and they are contactable on the web.
Alternatively, some kind fellow modeller might make the order for you and post it over to you. I would offer, but I am currently residing in another country.
