I think I've overloaded the web guy running the site not all the changes have been done yet but (I hope ) will be soon, Keep checking back to the site for updates. It can be found at www.itminiatures.com (plug).
Was at the ESSEX MAFVA show on Saturday and got to see the range of 15mm fig's. Well worth a good look if you are into that scale, the vehicles are just as good, good base to start with!
Very sorry to be such a pain, but if I select the menu item "contents", I do see the lists, but there is nothing I could click onto. It might well be my software settings, but I am using an up-to-date Firefox browser. I am unaware of any other site where this happens.
Obviously I can acces the "gallery", but there is just a selection of dioramas.
I can't explain it, Pat, sorry, mate. Perhaps one of the computer wizards can? I've attached a screen shot of what I get when I click "Gallery". As you can see, everything is "clickable".
Hi Pat click on contents, this will take to the clikable list that PDA shows.... It would probarbly be better if the "contents" was renamed as "catalogue"

Thanks both for trying to help a helpless case.
I can see the list from PDA's screenshot, and the menu items there (e. g. "German, Austrian and Italian" or "Indian troops") are clickable.
However cklicking on any menu item brings me to the related list of products. It is there where the trouble starts, none of the items there being clickable, so no pictures at all.
Very odd. I am unaware of any problems of this kind with any other website, but then what do I know about websites.
Pat: problem solved! Your computer is working fine. Or, at least, exactly the same as mine is.
Click on "Contents" and you get to the clickable list of items in the contents. So far so good. When you then click, for example, "German, Austrian and Italian", the list that you get to is not clickable. The pictures are already displayed within the list, sometimes halfway down, sometimes every few sections. But the individual items in the list are not themselves clickable. So there isn't a picture of every item, but a few pictures inserted wherever IT Miniatures could.
Also, I've noticed that some or all of the pictures are collages made with a photo editing program. That's fine. But not all figures' photos are taken from the same distance, and this gives the impression that some figures are "giant" or to a different scale, because they appear to be next to each other, but obviously different sizes. I am sure this is just an unfortunate accident, rather than the figures being different scales; IT Miniatures seem rather good, and I'm sure they wouldn't have done that.

Maybe we're close to something here.
I went the way you described but no photo.
However under every five or so items in the text list there is a line like "Ind 1-5 Ind 6 Ind 20-24 Ind 25". Given the images are collages as you say, this makes perfect sense because apparently I'm shown the file title / description instead of the proper image.
The reason for that we I can only guess at this moment. But thank you again for your input. Regards, Pat
Hi Pat, I too am running Firefox and have just tried to access the contents and I get to the same result as you, ie no pictures ! I have checked every possible setting within Firefox and still got nowhere, this is the only time I've encountered this problem ????

The pictures are hosted on another website - such as http://gtns.co.uk/itminiatures/images/table8.jpg I think you might find you have a security option checked to allow pictures from the current website only. There are probably a number of configurations that might account for what is being described but that is the only one I am sure about. If you find you can access the gallery through http://gtns.co.uk/itminiatures/ that would fairly-much confirm it.
The dialog and the results with the box unchecked, then checked are shown below. Note, when you first change the checkbox you may have to close and reopen the current browser page for it to take effect.
NOT allowing remote images is a pretty good security idea. Allowing remote images can create a pathway for "drive-by" download infections. That is a risk but not a huge one unless your browsing habits are "adventurous" or unless you are unlucky. There are many sites that require remote images to work properly. This bulletin board/forum is one of them.
Other browsers have different ways to access and (possibly) different levels of control of the security setting.
In SeaMonkey it is
Edit (menu) Preferences (item) Privacy & Security (category) Images (section) Accept images that come from the originating server only (radio button - pushed on to accept).
Does any of that help anyone? I am not a computer "expert", merely a curmudgeonly old bastard who refuses to let a bloody appliance run his life. At this stage my Good Lady Wife breaks into hysterics before pointing out I spend an inordinate amount of my life - I shall not repeat the fantastical proportion she alleges - in front of the rotten thing. It is unfortunate that she fixates on this one issue for which to devote her supposed forensic skills, she is otherwise of course almost perfect.
Ah, I see. That still doesn't explain the problem with the "Contents" items not showing pictures (or by itself it doesn't). I haven't checked it out completely but I think the answer is in some (or a lot) of mangled URLs in the pages codes.
As far as I know, only IE8 is so insanely dedicated to delivering that "rewarding internet experience" that it can handle the mangled code.
One instance (embedded under several layers of code somewhere):
http://gtns.co.uk/itminiatures/images\GN63-64.JPG
Enter that into the address box of IE8 and it automagically changes to
http://gtns.co.uk/itminiatures/images/GN63-64.JPG
which replaces the erroneous backslash ("\") and replaces it with an ordinary (forward) slash and that is the correct format. The problem (I think) is we have a cut and paste of part of a DOS/Windows file directory when the whole address needs to be properly formatted for HTML (UNIX style).
Enter it into (I think) any other browser and you will be told it is not a valid URL and you should seek intimate congress with your footwear (or words to that effect). Enter the corrected version
http://gtns.co.uk/itminiatures/images/GN63-64.JPG and you will see one of the images that IE8 users see. The website/your browser at least spares you the myriad error messages, it just ignores what it doesn't understand.
Using http://validator.w3.org/checklink/checklink?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fgtns.co.uk%2Fitminiatures%2Fit-wf-1.html&summary=1&hide_redirects=1&hide_type=all&no_accept_language=0&recursive=1&depth=500&cookie=nochanges (the "links" test from http://uitest.com/en/check/) on http://gtns.co.uk/itminiatures/it-wf-1.html (one of the problem pages) confirms all of those images have the same mangled final separator in their URLs (%5C = decimal 92 = "\") instead of "/" (%2F).
If I'm right, the only solution is to view with IE8/7/6. Elimination of the entire Microsoft executive chain of command and replacement with reasonable human beings might be an option but obviously that could take some time for the flow-on effects to kick in notwithstanding the desirability/satisfaction of such a solution.

Now then. A man must sometimes overcome his habits and take things beyond where he is supposed to go. So I used IE8 and voila - the images appear.
Also the workaround for Firefox worked exactly as you described.
I bow to your expertise, but also to your willingness to help the less given. A big thank you to you, and for IT miniatures' sake an objurgation to the fellow who did that page. Regards, Pat
PS: Now that I can see the images I'm wondering whether the sculptor of the Russian and Ottoman figures was the same as HäT's for their WW1 heavy weapons sets?
