With all this talk of Armourfast etc has anyone got any opinions/views on the Millicast 1 War stuff. I have the Whippet and it seems OK the fact that its 1/76 and compared to the Emhar one is quite small.

I have two of their Rolls Royce armoured car kits.

Peter has reviewed a couple of Milicast kits on Landships1, coincidentally their Whippet and Rolls Royce. Unfortunately what he says about them was true; they were warped and something else about them wasn't quite right.

However, through correspondance I know that both of those kits have been re-tooled. I have both versions of their Rolls Royce and can say that the new tooling is fantastic. There is as much detail as there is on a 1/32 kit, and very little flash. There simply is not a better Rolls Royce kit available in 1/76, including the ones from Solfig (which Rob has so kindly shown us photos of previously on this forum). It even comes with a few flimsies. Unluckily it is the 1920 pattern, but it is simple to convert it (in fact, I think I will work on mine today, to go with my Minifigs King's African Rifles).

It's OK so far. He sleeps for 2 hours at a time.

The wheels would be a good idea. For mine I used PE spokes from Scalelink and some drilled out shirt buttons for the tyres.

Thats a good idea for the wheels PDA. I never thought of a shirt button for the tires.

For small tyres & disks, I always used a paper-free hole-punch to make them.
Sorry for the off-top'.
