Question for Pools-Roys Wheels
Permalink

Has anybody drawings of wheels of Rolls-Roys AC? I have drawings from old Russian magazine, but not sure, that it is correct.

And what about aft wheels: were it two wheels in pair (approx 4) or special wheels (approx 5).

I think those are the best pictures anybody has, Aleksandr. I doubt you will find better.

Hi Aleksandr, I've traced over your drawings and pdfed them to 1/35th scale to suit the roden kit.

Hi, Lincoln!

Thank you for your picture. Yes, I have the same idea - convert the Roden kit. But I'm not sure, that my drawings are correct. Fore example, I'm not sure in this part (see picture)

I found some photos on this pages:

Also very interesting (but too expensive) kit of Resicast:

Let's think together.

Hi Aleksander, my drawing clarifies the errors of the original drawing.

I haven't found any wheels with a flange half way down the hub,  it looks like the spoke you highlighted is an error.

I don't have any clear photos of the RR A/C to check if they had modified wheels though.

Ive found some clear photos of the wheels and have redrawn the them based upon the photos and the known tyre diameter. The drawing are only my impression based upon the photos.

If anyone has info to add please do.

Better still, if you know of a Silver Ghost in the East Midlands let me know.

Bandai produced a 1/16th Silver Ghost Balloon Car that had a jig to spoke the wheels. Has anyone got one to photograph and post, with instructions?

The chassis remains look like those of the infamous 'Moon Car'.
