1/72 Tank Mark V

If I'm reading it right, Modelltrans have a 1/72 Tank Mark V listed as 'coming soon' (my translator actually says, "Novelty soon", but, hey ho, it's close enough).

http://www.tankmodels.pl/en/vehicles/galerie/5/1/1.html?cHash=5799d3441e2ab29a101e38a7192cdfd6#c63

Item number MT 72802.

Hi PDA. Well at least thats a start. If they do it in resin maybe plastic will follow.

Looks like they have a tadpole and a St. Chamond too!

Good find!

The MT page doesn't mention the Mk V yet, but has several St. Chamond images:

All Modell Trans kits are resin (not styrene). Regards, Pat

Thanks, Pat.

I was looking for the new St Chamond by Modelltrans that was mentioned by Michel Boer, here:
http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=63528&p=3&topicID=6115942

and confirmed by Pat here:

I thought I was just looking through a new Polish shop, but it seems to be Modelltrans' shop. As well as an Italian WW2 gun that looks like a leftover WW1 gun, their price list (attached) has a WW1 section, with the St Chamond mentioned last month, the rhomboid tracks, the Mark IV tadpole (it appears to be the entire tank, not just parts to convert) and the Mark V.

The quality of their other kits always looks fantastic in pictures in other fora.

Edit: The Italian gun is the Obice 100/17, which is the Italian version of an Austrian 10cm mountain gun. Also, for WW1, Modelltrans have replacement track units for RPM's fiendish Renault FT kits.

As I know Peter Paul of Modelltrans quite well, I can confirm that we discussed the Mark V some time ago already. He´s the kind of guy from whom you may expect the model to really come, once it´s announced on his site. He´s quite quick in making masters and a riveting expert as well. You may expect a Mark V decal set from me, as soon as the model comes available.
The Tadpole will also come; I've seen parts of the master last year already. The St Chamond 1st series and the Mark IV tracks are on sale now. Although I haven't put the whole list on my site, all the Modelltrans kits are available through Black Lion (and of course through Modelltrans themselves as well).

cheers,
Michel.
