I acquired a 2nd hand artillery piece which I cannot find on Plasticsoldierreview.
It looks like a Schwerer Minenwerfer in 1/72, with the height being until the waist of a standing man, and the length scaling out to about 1,60 meters. It is very simplified and consists of just two pieces, the carriage (sans wheels) and the barrel, which is movable.
The parts are in a silvery grey half-softish plastic as used by the smaller manufacturers from East Europe.
Does this ring a bell? Any hints would be much appreciated. Regards, Pat
Could it be a re-make (Pirate version ) of the finescalefactory one??
Paul, thanks for the suggestion, but the Fine Scale Factory effort is different, e. g. the base is perfectly square while the one I acquired has the edges but off (so it is octogonal really).
I now have found it. It is the very old Atlantic oddity which comes in the "Russian Revolution" set. I didn't recognize it because it lacks the long barrel, which is all the better as it looks less absurd without it.
Now where did I put that entry form to the "crudest model gun of them all" contest?
