60-pdr Somewhere in Poland - Where?

On this wiki page about the Polish-Bolshevik War (as they call it) it shows a 60-pdr allegedly captured from the Bolsheviks, and apparently on display in a city street:

http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojna_polsko-bolszewicka

Do any of our Polish mates (or anybody else, really) know where this is? And is the gun still there? And does anyone have any more photos of it?

TIA

Hi PDA,

This photo was taken in Warsaw on Nowy Swiat Street (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nowy_%C5%9Awiat_Street). I don't know where this gun is now, it was exhibited temporarily (probably some anniversary - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_Independence_Day or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Warsaw_(1920). It is possible that this gun is in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_Army_Museum but I was not there for a very long time and I don't know.

That's a bingo! Well done, Albert, thank you.

I followed a link to the museum and found this vid, and there's the 60pdr in the background:

(Some other interesting guns as well)

Great, I'm happy I could help smile You're perceptive, you've spotted this gun very nicely and congratulations on finding this although you don't speak Polish, while I do and I coudn't find it! smile By the way, there's nothing about guns in the description of this video wink
And searching via search engine didn't help although I tried to find something on this gun that way. Which means the site is not very good, unfortunately.

Maybe I'll go to that museum in spring and make some photos which I'll post on our forum smile

That's a great idea, Albert. And it's given me an idea for a new thread:

A set of "missions" that forummers can accept if they want to. We could list museums and their locations, and the exhibits they have that we would like to see. Then, forummers could take on that mission as a "photo-journalist" from Landships!

We have members in every continent, and they may be willing. Maybe it could work?

Great idea! I, for example, would like to see some photos from Army Museum in Brussels, maybe some forummer from Belgium could help smile
