I'm assuming there's some irony here, since the link appears to have packed up.

Still works fine for me James. You might have just experienced some (usually) momentary issues with the hosting server or with your own network's DNS servers - the messages given when the site fails to resolve are different in each case (generally "error 404" and/or "page not found" in the first case and "non-existant domain" OWTTE in the second).
There are things you can do about the DNS issue, but not worth the fiddling around with if it "comes good" by itself fairly quickly, as is generally the case.
Steve. I know you meant well, but did you seriously imagine that I would understand a word of that?
Anyway, I turned it off and turned it back on again. A little idea I came up with. Works OK now.

San Fairy Ann - the key concept being it was not "down" for me and if it was down for you at that point it was unlikely to remain so, on the balance of probabilities when adopting the Copernican Principle of Mediocrity which is to say it is improbable that we - or you - occupy an especially unique space and time in the cosmos although in my case I am precisely antipodean to the Bermuda Triangle so you may prefer to take a cautious approach and reserve judgement in this instance. But yes, the magical "power-cycle" or ON/OFF button pushing may have helped.
And I digress again - to return to the topic, it is a marvellous website giving rare detail of cavalry rig and accoutrements, it is still available on-line and thank you for bringing it to attention.
