This has been an ANXOIUSLY awaited moment I'm sure But it has at long last arrived. I will also have this posted to Bennosfigures within the week, but I thought all of you should get first look.

These are by far the most beautiful figures I have ever painted. The Prussian peacetime uniform is one of the most glamorous of the ninteenth century. on par with that of the Royal Palace Guards of Buckingham. This is the only set of its kind in existence in this scale.
I did all the cuffs, buttons, helemt accents, and matched historical colors. Mostly with toothpicks.
The first set of photos are genral overall pictures. it is 21 piece band.
In order, there is
- The Schellenbaum
The Schellenbaum is one of the main focal points of this piece, I painted one tassel in the national Black White Red colors and the other Black White Prussian.
The next is the bands director, (In keeping with historical accuracy, the most well known band director in the X Army Corps of Hannover, was Musikmeister Heinrich Gebbhard of 73rd Hannover Fusiliers.
Next is the Drum Major. I painted this directly out of the Osprey book on the Prussian Army in the Franco Prussian War.
After him is the three man Trommelkorps or Corps of drums it is the heartbeat of the band.
Following them is the Brass Section. I have two trombonists and a french horn player.
after that is the Percussion section with the Glockenspiel.It consists of the Bass drum & Cymbals. The Glockenspiel is accentuated with natinal and state tassels like the Schellenbaum.
In the midst of all these shiny intruments, is the Standard bearer. He is the other focal point of the band. His standard is typical of Prussian line standards of the day, with jubeliee or kings colors borne in the ribbons with the flag.
Futher on is the Bass section, Baritone Horn, Sousaphone, and Tuba.
Behind them is the wind instument section Oboe, Clarinetist, and Bassoon.
Solo intruments such the fife herald the familiar Prussian Locke Marsch the infantry fife and drum tune that is the start of every German march.
Next is the trumpeter. The key intrument in the playing of Der Alte Dessauer, one of Germanys oldests Military tunes.

Thank you your comments are always appreciated. Yes Massimo did do an excellent job. I will try to get better lighted photos up very soon. I painted the figures in batches on average spending about 4 hours a day, 4-5 days painting each batch.

Well I do have eventual plans for a barrack square type setting, It would be too much trouble to do something the size of say The Kaiser maneuvers!
