1/72 scale Ford 3 tonner

This time in the right period! Ford 3 ton tank in 1/72 scale.

The 3D printer service was so kind to send  me two for the price of one.

I could not wait and assembled one while Jan Giesbers collected the onther one to cast copies.

I was always facinated by this toy tank, wondering where the batteries where fitted in the original or if it was driven by a clockwork motor.

Taking the pictures learned me two things.

1) A digital camera in macro setting is a very harsh critic. I returned 4 times with my "finished" model to the workbench to correct sloppy work.

2)Based on museum pictures I painted the model in Vallelo 71043 Olive Drab. This is  a brown colour, now on the foto's this colour has changed to a more greenish shade. Just  how unreliable pictures can be, I will never take part in a discussion about paint colours and shades.

Model will be aviable from Jan Giesbers in the den Bels range in the near future.

As it apears to have carried no markings there is no business for Black Lion Decals.

Hope You like it

Another of my favourite tanks - it's as if you've read my wishlist!

The colour looks right to me. Although it looks brown-ish in this photo, I'll bet it looks green-ish in other situations. Just like the real things.

Absolutely great. It's amazing what these 3D printers can do nowadays.

Now there is no need to scratch built this nice little tank.
